20 YEARS OF WORKSHOP EXPERIENCE
Noteworthy is my pioneering role as a media educator to identify, deconstruct, and examine indepth, the long history of stereotyping, and deeper patterns of cultural racism, in regard to Euro-western representations of Indigenous peoples in North America up to, and including, popular culture today. Moreover, I developed a unique `transformative learning' approach to media literacy rather than apply the dominant `cultural studies' approach usually practiced by educators of media studies.
As well, my transformative learning approach in media literacy pioneers a proactive tool for conflict resolution, as demonstrated through invitations to be a workshop presenter at conferences listed below.
