30 YEARS OF WRITING EXPERIENCE
Noteworthy are my roles, first of all, as one of few non-Native journalists to be hired as a regular contributor to a number of Indigenous publications in North America. Secondly, my regular columns in Starweek (weekend TV magazine for The Toronto Star) were among the first to give attention to Canadian children's television in its heyday, as well as the early wave of environmental TV programmes. Third, my articles on Aboriginal issues were among the few to give voice to Native people in the mainstream media, to highlight their perspectives rather than non-Native views.
